Yup...I'm on Blogger now, so now you can keep track of what's going on with my artwork and what not.

On a side note, I only got one Christmas present (other than money) from my family and they got me a book that teaches you how to do Thai soap carvings!!! I have yet to get the materials and/or a kit but I think once I learn how to do the soap carving AND make good carvings, it'll be a really great addition to my portfolio.

And I'd like to thank my Secret Santa :iconcybiline: from :iconyugiohtas-fan-club: for such an awesome and funny present she made for me!!! I'd also love to thank :iconclub-street-fighter: for taking me in and it makes the HUGE investment in the Juri Han costume that I commissioned much more valuable to me. ^^

On that lovely note, Happy New Year!!!

UPDATE!!! 12/21/11 - I got confirmation from friends who do keep in touch with LittleKuriboh that he has more than enough for the charity, but they did give thanks for putting some thought into it. Perhaps another time. It was very well worth a try and PLEASE visit the link in the original entry below and do your part to help out the Green family in their desperate time of need.

A lot of us in the Yu-Gi-Oh! fan base already know what is going on, but for those who are not aware, I will give you a briefing.

Dan Green and his wife had wanted to have a family and earlier this month, he is now a proud father of twins; a boy and a girl. However, at the expense of giving birth to these beautiful babies, Dan Green's wife passed away soon after the c-section was over.

I have friends who have at least one child, if not more than one and all of them have told me that having children is truly a blessing, despite having to sacrifice so much to fully commit your time, energy and money on your kids. I am a godmother and although I don't see her often as much as I'd like to, I love her like she were my own. My family will be expanding soon with a baby on the way sometime next year. My sister and I have been raised by our father for majority of our lives; he's sacrificed spending quality time with his daughters and spent most of his time and energy at work, making sure he had enough for not just bills and mortgage, but to give us education, food, clothing and shelter for us. It's only now that my dad and I are doing what we can to build a bond that was never really stable. I truly hope Dan Green would NEVER EVER have to make himself or his kids go through the same thing as I have.

LittleKuriboh, the creator of Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series (better known as YGOTAS) has created another Card Games for Charity to help out Dan Green in his time of need.

I still love the anime, but unfortunately, haven't had time to update my deck, let alone find a place to trade my cards, learn more about the new cards that are currently out and just have a fun gave of Yu-Gi-Oh! anymore. I am more than willing to give up a few cards that I know will really help out Dan Green out. I do hope LittleKuriboh is willing to add my selected card collection that I've picked out myself from my Book Of Shiny (that's the name of my binder that has ALL the cards of all rarities [EXCEPT FOR COMMONS] as well as a few cards that are signed by some of the voice actors) because until now, I'd refuse to give them up for trade or money, even if people were to try and kill me for them. So I figured, it's time to give back to a voice actor who was part of the reason why Yu-Gi-Oh! is as popular as it is today.

Note that I will NOT disclose the list of cards here OR anywhere. I will ONLY do so when I have approval from LittleKuriboh himself.

UPDATE #1 - 12:11:11 - I'm now a Secret Santa for the YGOTAS fan club. Seeing the characters I have to draw for a particular someone in the club, somehow I had a feeling I had set myself up without even knowing it, but considering I did draw artwork of these two characters and the theme is Christmas...I just had an idea that made me PFFFT and "HAAAA" so loud...I know it's gonna be absolutely perfect!!! I might even do a quick color on it, since I'd prefer to have this submitted by Christmas Eve.

UPDATE #2 - 12:11:11 - Shortly after the first update, I ACTUALLY finished my artwork for the YGOTAS Secret Santa!!! As I PFFFT and "HAAAAA" when I thought of the idea, the finalized version of it...I did the same, except for just a single "HAAA", I actually laughed!!! It'll be scanned later on today after work; some parts of the artwork DO need to be cleaned (stupid eraser making a huge smudge of graphite and will never go away now) and at least I can get started on the coloring. I won't take up too much time like I did with Moku-Boy, but so long as it's done and submitted before the deadline, all shall fall into place. I'm sure the recipient and everyone else will PFFFT and laugh their asses off when they get a look at this!!! XD

UPDATE #3 - 12:12:11 - After a long and very difficult day of work, I went straight to scanning my Secret Santa and once that was done, cleaned it up a bit (looks so much prettier now) and went on a search hunt for pictures of the two characters I've been set up to draw. I'd like to say that %&$*# is looking really awesome in color, although the coloring is ALMOST done on %&$*# while %&$*# has yet to get any color until %&$*# is done. If all goes well and time is being wisely managed as well, it COULD be very well done by Tuesday at the earliest OR Friday at the latest. The only real daunting task will be the background...too much of one color on %&$*#...or ANYTHING rather...is NEVER a good thing.

To start things off, I still haven't had any luck with the Holiday Commissions, but I might have one...or maybe a few on the day. Just need to confirm with those people. If you at least know someone that MIGHT be interested, feel free to spread the word.

Second...I TOTALLY NEED A NEW Deviant ID!!! As much as I look pretty good with my attempt on cosplaying as Jo Calderone, I'm getting sick of looking at it. Maybe have a TEMPORARY one up until I can find a permanent new ID to slap on here.

Third...I've been contemplating about going to different anime conventions for Artists' Alley, but so far, I haven't had any luck...well, actually, there hasn't been ANY information up about the Artists' Alley as of yet...which sucks...'cause I want to give it a shot after my failed attempt on responding back a couple years ago. Of course, that also depends on finances and the like, since I am travelling overseas and my dad had bought the tickets already (a bit early, but he's been watching the crude oil prices and it was better to buy it now 'cause if he would have waited longer, it'd be too expensive) and from what he told me, the airline he got has room in the chairs so you're not feeling bunched up or whatever...so that'll be a bonus...anyway...kind of going out of topic...in short, I have to pay back my dad the amount for my airfare ticket. Hope I get me that second job soon...I really don't care where it is, so long as I don't have to break my back, working six days a week with little to no sleep...and all the like. The only reason why I want to get a second job is to not only ensure I still have cash flow, but to COMPLETELY AVOID UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE THE SECOND TIME!!!

My dad was suggesting that I sell some of the artwork I already have. Usually, I'd be against it, but in times like this, I really really really need the extra money. What do you guys think?

On a side note, I am considering learning Thai soap carving. Of course, this will be my very first time with it, but I like to think it'll be fun as well as rewarding and an added bonus to commissions in the future. In the meantime, I still have origami. Just wish I had time to buy more paper.

And yes...I have brain farts; I'm seeing contests from this site (the Odyssey into 2012 AND the Seven Deadly Sins contest), but I haven't had a clue as to how it'll look on paper...you don't know how much I HATE brain farts!!!

I think that's enough blabbering from me. Just thought you'd like to know I'm still alive and well. Stay warm out there, if you're having the cold weather.

New artwork

1 min read
Just to let you guys know I have FIVE new artwork up; while you only three on the MAIN gallery, two of the five are sketches so you'll see them at the SCRAPBOOK section of the gallery.

In other news, I got my brand-spanking new business cards yesterday JUST BEFORE I left for work. How funny is that? Also, don't forget the Holiday Commissions 'cause it's still open and I haven't had anyone send a note or anything. Me iz sad kitty... ;_;
